Journal 6:From Pernale Blake

The Lomé Peace Accord was a document signed on 7 July 1999 in Sierra Leone in result of the Sierra Leone Civil War. Ahmad Tejan Kabbah signed with the Revolutionary United Front (RUF) leader, Foday Sankoh and granted Sankoh a position in the transitional. It’s named after a town where the signing of the accord was taken place at. Which was Lome, Togo. This treaty later fell apart in 2000 because rel Leader Foday Sankoh attacked and took over the capital city of Freetown. The Truth and Reconciliation Commission: Created in result of The Lomé Peace Accord of the Lomé Peace Accord with the assistance of the international community. It was signed by President Ahmad Tejan Kabbah and RUF leader Foday Sankoh on July 7, 1999.
