Music to me is just someone else story and the battles that they have went through to get to where they are in life. The type of music that I listen to the most is Hip-Hop and Rap music because it’s mainly what I grew up around and I feel like I can feel their pain and compare what most rappers go through in their life with what I went through, like most rappers grew up without their fathers being around and I can relate to that.

The Artist that I am doing this report on is Juaquin James Malphurs. Who goes by the stage name Waka Flocka Flame he was born on May 31, 1986. He is based out of Atlanta, Georgia. His music to me tells how he went from just be a low life drug dealer that truly started from the bottom as a foot soldier in gangs running drugs and just trying to make money and then he became one of the biggest rappers that has come out of Atlanta. People like to say that Waka Flocka Flame is considered to be the biggest hype man of the year because his music just gets people so hype that it’s pretty much like a big party and he is also art of the reason that I decided to get dreads. My favorite song by Waka Flocka Flame is called Lurking it may not be the most appropriate song to listen to but in the song he explains that if you try and hurt him or his family that he will have people that will come and get revenge on you and also that he looks out for his family and his whole brick squad crew.

 

 Waka Flocka Flame is my favorite rapper from this generation because he always tells the truth in his song and his music just gets me hype and it’s also good music to work out too.
